We want to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful veterinary team. They help us on our daily adventure of running a veterinary facility and make us smile. It just wouldn’t be nearly as much fun without them
Mark Hale, DVM
Dr. Hale grew up as a typical farm boy in Northern Arkansas. The family raised cattle and chickens and harvested hay. He spent his leisure time riding horses, team roping with his brother, fishing, hunting and camping. His first dog, a little dachshund named Penny, went everywhere with him.
Having grown up on a farm, he naturally thought his veterinary career would consist mainly of cattle and horses. Upon graduation from the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine, he practiced at a mixed animal clinic for nine years before opening All Creatures Animal Clinic, Ltd. in 1999.
Over time, he came to realize that he wanted to concentrate on companion animal care. Although All Creatures started out about 50% large animals and 50% small animals, over the years, it has evolved into a companion animal practice.
Dr. Hale strives to provide excellent patient care and client education in the hope that these tools will allow our furry friends to achieve, health, happiness and longevity.

In Memory of Tom
Tom was brought to the clinic to be euthanized shortly after we opened in 1999. He was found in a ditch after being hit by a car. His injuries were serious. His jaw was broken and part of his face was crushed. He looked up at Dr. Hale from the exam table and we knew we had to give this little guy a chance. Dr. Hale wired his jaw shut and for the next month, Tom was fed by syringe. In order for his wounds to mend, he was confined to a cage. Of course, he was not neutered, so in those early days, we referred to him as “the Tom cat.” One day he decided he was healed and started making a huge racket. He was tired of that cage and wanted OUT. We let him out of the cage and, of course, neutered him. He supervises the activities of all clinic staff and greets clients. We spoil him shamelessly.
In Memory of Toughie
Toughie was a kitten when he was brought in after being mauled by a dog. He was so injured that we couldn’t even see if he had an eyeball in his swollen socket. He had bite wounds in his sides that continued to drain for weeks. He was a brave little kitten considering all of the wound-flushing that had to be done. That is why we started calling him Toughie. That was years ago and he has lived here with Tom ever since. He lacks the laid back attitude of Tom, but has endeared himself to us nevertheless. He also is spoiled shamelessly.
